Welcome to Animal Hospital of North Asheville! We're always happy to welcome new patients. Learn what to expect at your pet's first appointment with us.
Your First Visit
Knowing what to expect and how to be prepared for your first visit to our veterinary hospital will make the process quicker and more pleasant for both you and your pet.
Step 1: Get Settled
Please arrive about 10 minutes early for your first appointment with us so that you can fill out a New Patient Form for your pet. If you'd like to save a bit of time, you can complete this form online.
Step 2: Get Started
After you and your pet have been introduced to your vet, we'll take you into an examination room where we'll review the history and habits of your pet and will discuss your goals for your pet's care.
Step 3: 'Nose to Tail' Exam
The next step in getting to know your pet is a full 'nose to tail' exam. Older pets may also have blood tests to check their kidneys, liver and other internal organs.
If your pet is due for any vaccinations or laboratory work, we will also take care of these needs during this appointment.
