Jim Earley, DVM

Dr. Jim Earley A native of Eatonton, GA, Dr. Jim Earley has cared for pets at the Animal Hospital of North Asheville as a general practitioner since 1998. His love for animals and his interest in science prompted him to become a veterinarian and he finds great satisfaction in helping pets and their owners.

Dr. Earley attended the University of Georgia and received his Bachelor's Degree in 1986. He continued his education at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Following veterinary school, he completed a small-animal internship at Texas A&M University in 1992. Dr. Earley has completed continuing education courses in ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopy. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. He is also a member of the Mimi Paige Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Buncombe County dedicated to finding homes for pets in Western North Carolina.

When he's not busy with his duties at the hospital, Dr. Earley enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking and grilling outside. He and his wife, Georgia, have a home filled with pets. Cats Fifi, Ramone and Rue, and dogs Dule, Bear, Aimish, Precious, and Freealy provide Dr. Earley and Georgia with lots of companionship and love.
