Exam room technician Mick Weagle has helped care for pets at AHNA since 2003. He enjoys working with the caring, friendly staff and is glad to be part of a team that always puts pets first. Mick shares his home with a Chihuahua named Peanut and a cat named Possum. Hiking, camping and woodworking are among his many hobbies.
Beth Cook is a veterinary technician and a surgical assistant. A member of the AHNA team since 2000, Beth was a client before becoming a member of the staff. She loves working in the friendly, family-like atmosphere at the hospital and loves caring for pets each day. In her free time, Beth is a pet sitter; she also likes to go hiking and camping whenever she can and is trying to be a better gardener. Her four-legged companions at home are cats Herman, Reuben, Ellie, Pickle and a feral, outdoor cat named Little Man.
Veterinary technician and inventory manager Mary Henderson has helped care for pets at AHNA since 1978. She is glad to be part of a team that works closely together toward the common goal of providing the best medical care for pets. In her spare time, Mary can be found outside hiking, bird watching, and photographing nature. She shares her home with five cats and a dog.
Laurie Wedgewood has worked with animals for more than 11 years. She joined the AHNA team as a veterinary technician in 2009. She is proud of the hospital's high health-care standards and loves working with the caring staff and the wonderful pets that come into the hospital each day. Laurie is a member of the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians and the Emergency Animal Response Society. In her spare time, Laurie can be found cooking, hiking, camping and reading. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her cats, Rowan and Magoo and a Lab/Pitbull mix named Bagel.
Lorraine Kendall is the patient care coordinator and a veterinary technician at AHNA. A member of the staff since 2000, Lorraine has more than 25 years experience caring for animals. The staff at AHNA is the most loving, caring and compassionate group of people Lorraine has worked with and she wakes up every day smiling, knowing her day will be filled with smiling faces, doggy kisses and kitty purrs. When she's not at the hospital, Lorraine enjoys gardening and landscaping, as well as going to yard sales and restoring old furniture. Most of all, she likes spending time with her husband and her grandchildren. Her animal companions include dogs Ellie, Susie and Phoebe and a parrot named Sara.
Exam room technician Dorothy Williams has helped care for pets at AHNA since 2005. She loves working with the caring, compassionate staff and loves working with all the animals that come into the hospital each day. She shares her home with a cat named Orly, two dogs named Dutchess and Pepper and a hedgehog named Sneetch. In her spare time, she creates pet artwork and crafts, including beaded jewelry and PJs for dogs. Hiking, art and playing with her pets are among her many pastimes.
Overnight veterinary technician Elena Aguilar joined the Animal Hospital of North Asheville team in 2006. She is proud to be part of the caring, compassionate staff and loves working at a hospital that uses the latest technology and treatment methods to care for pets. Elena holds a Bachelor's Degree in Naturalist Biology and is going to school to become a paramedic.
She is very active outside of work. In her spare time, Elena coaches the West Asheville Fast Pitch softball team. She also enjoys going on hikes with her friends and her dogs, dancing and listening to live music and spending time with friends and co-workers. Her dogs Oscar and Blue and cats Ceelo and Zeppelin provide her with faithful companionship.
Exam room veterinary technician Linda Dowd joined the Animal Hospital of North Asheville staff in 2008. She loves working with the friendly staff and is proud of the state-of-the-art care provided to pets. Linda is a supporter of the Asheville Humane Society. She shares her home with three rescued pets - dogs Ginger and Oskar and a cat named Waugachee. Woodworking, container gardening, and cooking are some of her many hobbies.
Robin Pierce is a veterinary technician and is currently pursuing her certification. A member of the staff since 2004, she is proud to be part of the caring, friendly staff and enjoys improving the quality of life of pets and their owners. Robin shares her home with a cat named Dakini and a dog named Nikolai. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, gardening and spending time with her son, Sylvan.
Anne has been an exam room veterinary technician at the Animal Hospital of North Asheville since 2008. She learns new things about veterinary care each day and loves working with the supportive, caring staff. Paddle tennis, running, and spending time with her dog, Athena, and her family are some of Anne's favorite pastimes.
Ward nurse Tammy Thibodaux has been a member of the Animal Hospital of North Asheville team since 2004. She enjoys working at a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital and is proud to work with the caring, compassionate veterinarians and staff. When she's not at the hospital, Tammy can be found attending AB-Tech Community College. She also enjoys camping, rafting, and hiking with her dogs, Jezebel, Gaia, and Oakley. She also shares her home with three cats, Dizzy Dean, Toby, and Zeppelin.
